How to prepare for Bali Pass Trek

You need to strictly follow these exercises regularly:

  • Breathing Exercises ( slowly inhale-exhale for long duration ) about 15-20 min.
  • Push-ups 10-20(3 sets) along with jogging for 30min, or rapid walking for 1-2 hours (If possible two times a day).

How To Reach Bali Pass Trek Base Camp

Dehradun is well connected with Airports, Railways, and Bus Terminals. You can reach Sankri from Dehradun via public transport or can hire taxies.

Itinerary For Bali Pass Trek

Day 1: Dehradun To Sankri

You can hire taxies, or you can use public transport from Dehradun. Rent should be around 5000-6000 Rs. and shared between 5-6 trekkers. If the transport option has opted in our package, then we will pick you from Dehradun. Sankri is 190 km from Dehradun, and it will take around 8 hrs.

Meals: Dinner.
Night: Overnight stay in lodge/hotel.

Day 2: Sankri to Seema Via Taluka

We will have a 12 km drive to Taluka village. Then we will start trekking toward the Seema village. In between, we will encounter the dense forest of Walnut, Chinar, and conical-shaped trees like Deodar, Surai, etc.
Seema village is the last village where you can find shelter. You need to carry tents, food, sleeping bags on your own, or you need to join any groups conducting by travel agencies.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Night: Overnight stay in Tents.

Day 3: Seema To Rainbasera camp site

We will start hiking early in the morning by 8 am. Trail from Seema village to Rainbasera campsite offers mesmerizing views of the valley, forest, river, and the beautiful meadows of Dev Thatch/ Devasu Bugyal.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Night: Overnight stay in Tents.

Day 4: Rainbasera to Ruinsera Taal

Today we will start trekking alongside the Ruinsera Gad river. Trek will be a bit difficult as compared with previous days. But efforts are worth it for the scenic views that are coming in the trail. We will stay near the

Night: Overnight stay in Camps.

Day 5: Ruinsera Lake To Thang

Today we will hike only 3 km to the Thang Odari campsite. We can use this day as a buffer day also if needed. Here you can regain your energy and prepare for the steep climb to the advanced campsite. Also, it will help you to get habitual of the high altitude and low oxygen level.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Night: Overnight stay in Camps.

Day 6: Thang to Advance base camp

The day of testing your limits has arrived. The altitude gain will be around 900m. With snowy terrain, steep ascent, and low oxygen level can make this hike very difficult. There is no need to make hurry we have all day to hike. Advanced base camp is the best campsite of the trip.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Night: Overnight stay in Camps.

Day 7: Advanced Base Camp to Talli Dhamni Via Bali Pass

It is the time for the most challenging day of this trip. The high pass through the ridge of the mountain peak can be scary for you. Be cautious when crossing the pass. After crossing the Bali Pass(4890m/16043ft), you will see the Bali Kund. Bali Kund is small but beautiful and located at the height of 4774m/15630ft. Now get ready for the challenging steep descent. One should be very careful while descending. When you complete this task, you will have the feeling of something special achieved.

Day 8: Talli Dhamni to Dehradun Via Yamunotri

You will set back to your places. You completed one of the most difficult and challenging treks in the Garhwal Himalayas. You have earned life-changing experiences and unforgettable memories taking with you.
